ATMC Presents the Town of Belville with Smart Rural Community Signs
Shallotte, NC – ATMC recently presented the Town of Belville with Smart Rural Community signs. The Smart Rural Community designation, given by the NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association, highlights member projects which make rural communities vibrant places to live and do business through the implementation of innovative broadband-enabled solutions. The Town of Belville received this recognition because of ATMC’s commitment to provide Wi-Fi to the Town’s Brunswick Riverwalk and the Duke Energy Education Pavilion as well as providing fiber optic technology to hundreds of businesses and residents with access to one Gigabit broadband speeds.
“We are grateful to ATMC for their vested interest in our town,” said Mayor Mike Allen. “ATMC has committed to investing in technology to improve our local neighborhoods, schools, businesses and more. We are especially excited to partner with ATMC on providing Wi-Fi to the Duke Energy Education Pavilion at the Brunswick Riverwalk, this will be a great asset to residents and visitors alike.”
In addition to providing fiber optic technology to the Town of Belville, ATMC has also helped to bring fiber optic technology to all Brunswick County public schools, local health care facilities, the Brunswick County 911 Communications Center and more. ATMC’s network upgrade and expansion project was another major factor in its selection for the prestigious award.
“Being able to provide the Town of Belville with future-proof technology helps better equip them for the residential and business growth they are experiencing,” said Keith Holden, ATMC CEO. “We are proud of the work we’ve done throughout Brunswick County that laid the foundation for receiving this national recognition. Because of our investment in the community, we are able to recognize towns, like Belville, as a Smart Rural Community and the town is able to benefit from the designation.”
